The Michael Jackson musical was nominated for a Grammy Award for the Best Musical Theater Album. “The show was great, I loved it, and the colors were crazy. I would rate it 9 out of 10. I learned a lot more about Michael Jackson.”

I also spoke to Heather Pennington who is the administrative associate for student support services. She oversaw planning the trip who not only got to travel on a charter bus to watch the musical but also enjoyed a meal at Zappata’s Mexican restaurant. She said learning about Michael Jackson and the experience of the restaurant are two great ways this was chosen as a cultural trip. She said she felt the trip would be fun and his music is fun, and students won’t be bored, and you get a good meal. She also said she is still a Michael Jackson fan after all these years. I found out about this trip at the Student Support Services office and additional information in an email. Be sure to stay informed because you won’t want to miss the next trip, this one was amazing!
