On September 7, 2023, the Concord University community and the wider public were invited to gather at the University Point chapel for an enlightening and poignant talk by Dr. Peter Berardi, a former Navy SEAL and first responder on 9/11. Dr. Berardi’s firsthand account of the events and his experiences as a responder offered a unique perspective into the courage and sacrifice exhibited by individuals during one of America’s darkest days.
Dr. Berardi, a distinguished Naval Special Warfare officer (SEAL), dedicated 23 years of his life in uniform, contributing significantly to the nation’s security. His extensive career saw him involved in critical missions and operations, showcasing his unwavering dedication and exceptional skills in the line of duty. Upon his retirement in 2012, he continued to inspire and educate, sharing his experiences and expertise.
