Concord University Hosting Orientation for New Students

ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University is holding orientation for students who have been admitted for the Spring 2022 semester. This includes new freshmen, transfers and international students.

An in-person orientation will be held on the Athens campus on Friday, Jan. 7th, 2022 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Ballroom of the Jean & Jerry L. Beasley Student Center. In the event of inclement weather, this orientation will be moved to a virtual session.

For those that cannot attend the in-person session on Jan. 7th, a virtual session will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 5th, 2022.

To register for an orientation session (in-person or virtual), individuals must first submit their “Reply to Offer of Admission” form and the $50 enrollment deposit. Once the deposit has been received, the student may log into their application portal to sign up for an orientation session.

“Classes start on Jan. 10th so we want students to be ready to jump right in and have a successful start to our spring term. We have created an orientation session that we hope will help make that happen.”

William Allen, Vice President of Enrollment Management

During orientation, students will have the opportunity to get a photograph taken for their student ID; review and edit their schedule; meet with offices including Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Accounts; register car(s) to park on campus; meet faculty and staff; and tour campus.
