ATHENS, W.Va. –Concord University students receive federal funding through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA).
More than $1 million has been distributed to approximately 1,500 students. This includes both undergraduate and graduate-level students, both full and part-time.
Vice President for Business and Finance, Dr. Chuck Becker, says the money was deposited Thursday afternoon on student CU Mountainlion bank cards. Students will receive a notice from BankMobile when the money has posted to their accounts.
The funding is part of the federal government’s $82 billion authorized through CRRSAA in support of education. This is in addition to the more than $30 billion provided last spring through the Coronavirus Aid, Recover, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Concord University distributed more than $1 million at that time to approximately 1,000 students.
