
ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University is announcing dates for advising and course selection for both 2020 summer terms as well as the Fall 2020 Semester.
The First Summer Term runs Tuesday, May, 26 through Friday, June 26. The Second Summer Term starts Monday, June 29 and continues through Friday, July 31. The Fall 2020 semester begins on Monday, Aug. 17.
Please note that Summer I courses are all online. The majority of Summer II courses are also on-line. There are some face-to-face classes in Summer II. Depending on the evolving coronavirus situation, these face-to-face classes may have to be converted to on-line.
Advising for early course selection for currently enrolled students is being held now through
March 27, 2020. Students should email their advisors by March 27 with a proposed schedule of courses for summer and/or fall. On-campus, face-to-face advising is not being held.
Assistance in preparing schedules is available at Degree-Works on the students’ MyCU account and four-year plans at: https://www.concord.edu/Academics/Registrar/Four-Year-Plans.aspx
Students will receive their registration pin number from their advisors for web registration after their schedules are approved. Students will then use this pin to Add/Drop classes online on their MyCU accounts. Steps for this include: 1) Login to MyCU Self-Service, 2) Student tab, 3) Registration, 4) Add or Drop Classes (select a registration term), 5) Enter pin, and 6) Enter courses to Add/Drop.
Returning students can register online for courses under their MyCU account using their registration pin number beginning on the following dates:
Honors students: March 23, starting at 8 a.m.
Seniors (90 + earned hours), Athletes, Band, Choir, Esports, Students with Disabilities, Military and SSS: March 24, starting at 8 a.m.
Juniors (60-89 earned hours): March 25, starting at 8 a.m.
Sophomores (30-59 earned hours): March 26, starting at 8 a.m.
Freshmen (0-29 earned hours): March 27, starting at 8 a.m.
Registration for returning students begins March 23 and will continue until the semester begins.
