ATHENS, W.Va. – Dr. Jacob Womack, Assistant Professor of Music and Collaborative Pianist at Concord University, will be giving a piano recital on Monday, Nov. 11th, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Alexander Fine Arts Main Auditorium on Concord’s Athens campus. The program will feature popular and well-loved piano classics such as Debussy’s Clair de Lune, Rachmaninoff’s C-Sharp minor Prelude, Liszt’s Liebestraum, and more.
Dr. Womack is the 2019 West Virginia Music Teachers Association Teacher of the Year award recipient and is the National Commissioner for Teacher Certification in Piano for the Music Teachers National Association. Womack is also a former prize winner in the West Virginia Intersection of Jazz and Classical Piano Festival in both the jazz and classical categories. He has performed and given presentations in Alabama, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. He holds degrees from The Pennsylvania State University and West Virginia University.
