Powell Scholarship Helps Concord College Students

ATHENS, W.Va. – Based on a desire to help deserving, non-traditional West Virginia students, Skip Powell, CEO of Powell, Inc., Barboursville, W.Va., presented a full scholarship to Concord College student Diana L. Marshall.

“I spent the early years of my life in Hinton, so I have fond memories of southern West Virginia and its wonderful people. I want to help struggling students who are sometimes unable to continue their education due to financial constraints beyond their control. The staff at Concord, particularly financial aid has been instrumental in identifying prospective recipients, and with their assistance we will continue to seek deserving students.”
