Award-Winning Radio Humorist Will Entertain at Concord College


ATHENS, W.Va. – Humorist Bob Harris will be speaking at the Concord College Center SUBWAY Stage area, at 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 13th, 2000. Bob’s topic will be the Civil Rights Movement. The program is free and open to the public.

Harris is an Associated Press (AP) award-winning syndicated radio humorist and commentator. “This is Bob Harris,” his daily commentary airing on over 70 stations nationwide, received the AP’s “Best Feature Award” and “Best Specialty Feature Reporting” by the LA Press Club in 1998. His program is also broadcast twice daily to over 140 countries by Armed Forces Radio.

Since 1992, he has spoken at over 300 colleges and universities nationwide. In his presentations, he covers subjects like the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the Civil Rights Movement and US policies in the third world. He also gives speed-learning seminars at colleges and universities across the country.
