Dow Chemical CEO to Speak at Concord Fundraiser


ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord College Foundation, Inc. is hosting the Fund for Concord College Dinner, Thursday, October 26th, 2000. A reception will be held at 6:00 p.m., with dinner at 7:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Embassy Suites, Charleston, W.Va. Guest speaker and honorary chair for the event is Michael D. Parker, CEO and president of The Dow Chemical Company.

“We feel honored that Dow has chosen to help us support our mission in West Virginia. We attract quite a few students from Kanawha and surrounding counties, and we have over 700 graduates in the Kanawha Valley.”

William “Bill” McKee, chair of the fundraising committee, Concord graduate and partner in Arnett & Foster, P.L.L.C., a Charleston-based consulting firm noted that:

“This will be a great event. Our firm recently hired three Concord graduates and we have been very pleased with their performance. This event will help Concord continue to serve deserving students with scholarships.”
